Kia’s electric sports car, the EV6 GT, is a steal at nearly $20,000 off

Kia’s electric sports car will smoke a Ferrari and Lamborghini off the line, and it’s already less than half the cost. Now, Kia’s 576 horsepower EV6 GT is even cheaper to drive with nearly $20,000 in lease savings. Here’s how you can get your hands on one.
The EV6 GT arrived in 2022 as the “most powerful Kia production vehicle ever.” With up to 576 horsepower, Kia’s electric sports car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just [website] seconds.
Kia went all out, adding fun attributes and different drive modes, such as “GT” and “drift.” The GT drive mode adjusts the vehicle’s motor, brakes, steering, suspension, and more for superior performance.
To prove its power, Kia put its EV sports car up against a Ferrari Roma and Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder. Certified by an independent test from AMCI, the Kia EV6 GT beat both off the line. Not only is the Kia faster, but it’s also about half the cost.
The 2024 Kia EV6 GT starts at $61,600. A 2024 Ferrari Roma will run you about $245,000, while a new 2024 Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder starts at just over $300,000.
, the 2024 Kia EV6 GT now elements $19,050 in lease cash (24-month lease). With the option of Single Pay leases, you can also score lower lease rates.
If you’re looking for something with a little less performance (and a lower price), Kia is offering $10,000 in Customer Cash on all 2024 EV6 models. The EV6 Light Long Range RWD ($45,950 MSRP) is listed for lease at just $179 for 24 months, with $3,499 due upfront.
The discounts come with the new 2025 model year arriving, which has an even longer driving range (319 miles Kia-est) and an NACS port for charging at Tesla Superchargers. The new EV6 GT trim will also pull additional elements from Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 N, including a Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) function.

Togg T10X EV SUV is Turkish president’s gift to Anwar

The Togg electric vehicle (EV) that Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gifted Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a symbol of the two countries’ friendship is a white T10X SUV, Bernama reports.
Anwar yesterday drove Erdogan in the left-hand drive vehicle to the Seri Perdana Complex for the exchange of agreements, a joint press conference and a luncheon in conjunction with the latter’s two-day official visit to Malaysia.
Anwar noted earlier that he saw the gift as belonging to the country rather than to him, and that he would return the vehicle to the country at the end of his prime ministership.
Established in 2018, Togg is Turkiye’s (or Turkey’s) first major national EV manufacturer. The T10X is its first model, beginning production in 2022 ahead of deliveries in 2023. It can be had in either 218 PS/350 Nm one-motor rear-wheel drive or 435 PS/700 Nm two-motor all-wheel drive versions, and can travel up to 523 km on a full charge.

Malaysia-Thailand road alignment to be complete soon

The Malaysia-Thailand road alignment project that connects the Bukit Kayu Hitam immigration, customs, quarantine and security (ICQS) complex with the Sadao customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complex is scheduled for completion by the end of this year, Bernama has reported.
The construction of a new CIQ complex on the Thailand side of the road link has already been completed a few years ago, noted Ahmad Fahmi Ahmad Sarkawi, consul-general of Malaysia in Songkhla. However, several technical obstacles meant that finalising the road connection to the new Sadao CIQ complex was delayed.
“When prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took office, he issued a directive and actively pushed for the project’s resumption. After overcoming these technical issues, the project resumed in 2023 and is now scheduled for completion by July or August this year,” Ahmad Fahmi noted in a recent interview, adding that he hoped the project will begin operations by the end of 2025.
The initial design for the road alignment connecting the two countries’ immigration complexes was ready at the end of 2022, and Malaysian prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim requested in 2023 for the project to be sped up, as this would promote business and improve well-being of the people, he presented at the time.
