Minecraft is different: single-player and owned realms allow built-in cheats via slash commands — the full command list is below. Multiplayer servers ban hacked clients. Know which side you are on.
Minecraft commands — give, gamemode, tp & more
Minecraft commands (slash commands) are an official game feature. In singleplayer enable cheats when creating the world (or via Open to LAN), on servers you need operator (OP) status. Type / followed by the command in chat. These work in Java and Bedrock with minor syntax differences.
Singleplayer
Enable 'Allow Cheats' when creating the world, or Esc → Open to LAN → Allow Cheats: ON.
Server
You need OP status (op <username> from the server console).
All
Press T (chat) or / and type the command, then Enter.
- Using commands disables advancements/achievements in that world (Bedrock).
- @p = nearest player, @a = all players, @s = yourself, @e = all entities.
- Java and Bedrock syntax can differ slightly for some commands.

Hacked clients on multiplayer servers
Wurst, Meteor, and similar clients on Hypixel, Mineplex, or SMPs violate server rules and use anti-cheat plugins.
- X-ray and fly hacks = instant ban on most servers
- Account bans can be permanent on major networks
Bedrock vs Java
Command syntax differs slightly. Marketplace worlds may disable commands even in single-player.
- Java: open LAN cheats or use operator on server
- Bedrock: host settings → cheats ON
