It might only be February but one of the most anticipated upcoming video games of the year is already coming in the form of Monster Hunter Wilds. This latest entry in the hit hunting franchise promises a ton of new attributes, such as dynamic weather and the ability to swap weapons during the hunt. Thanks to it being a cross-platform game as well, you can even enjoy taking down all the massive monsters with friends on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Veteran hunters will know that preparing for a hunt is the most significant part, and the same is true for getting ready for the game’s February 28 release date. Here’s all the preload information you need to be ready to hunt as soon as possible.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28. There are no options to get early access to the game, so hopefully you were able to participate in one of the open betas beforehand if you wanted to try the game out early.

, the game will need at least 75GB of free space. While that is technically just for the PC version, file sizes tend to be more or less consistent between PC and consoles. If you’re on PS5 or Xbox Series X, you should clear at least that much room on your consoles, if not go up to 100GB to be on the safe side.

Console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can preload Monster Hunter Wilds starting at midnight on February 26, which will give you two days to get the game installed before launch.

PC players will have less time to preload. On Steam, preloads are set to go live on February 17, just one day before release. Either way, so long as you are able to get the preload started, you should have plenty of time to download the game.

Preorders for Monster Hunter Wilds have appeared on the site since its release date was confirmed. There are three editions for you to pick from, including Standard, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe but preordering any version will allow you to preload the game. Here’s what is included in each version and how much they cost:

Deluxe Pack, which includes layered armor for your hunter and Palico, Seikret decorations, gestures, hairstyles, face pain, stickers, a pendant, and hunter profile.

OpenAI Denies Using Indian Media Content To Train ChatGPT

OpenAI Denies Using Indian Media Content To Train ChatGPT

OpenAI has also told the HC that it is under no obligation to form partnerships with media outlets to use publicly available content.

As per a court filing reviewed by Reuters, OpenAI has urged the HC to dismiss infringement indicates filed by the likes of Mukesh Ambani-owned Network18, Gautam Adani-owned NDTV and others.

The AI giant has reportedly informed the Delhi High Court (HC) that it does not use the content of Indian media groups to train its AI chatbot ChatGPT.

In the latest twist in the copyright infringement case against OpenAI, the AI giant has reportedly informed the Delhi High Court (HC) that it does not use the content of Indian media groups to train its AI chatbot ChatGPT.

As per a court filing reviewed by Reuters, OpenAI has urged the HC to dismiss infringement indicates filed by the likes of Mukesh Ambani-owned Network18, Gautam Adani-owned NDTV and others.

OpenAI has also told the HC that it is under no obligation to form partnerships with media outlets to use publicly available content. Notably, the filing is part of a broader lawsuit initially filed by Indian news agency ANI last year.

Previously, the AI giant told the HC that it cannot delete the training data as it is currently defending a litigation in the US, adding that US laws require the firm to preserve the data while the hearings are pending.

However, since ANI filed the case last year, many industry bodies of book publishers (via Federation of Indian Publishers) and news channels (under the banner of Digital news Publishers Association) have also sued the AI giant for allegedly using their data to train ChatGPT in violation of copyright laws.

In its latest filing dated February 11, OpenAI denied using any content from the media groups to train its models.

In stark contrast with India, OpenAI has reportedly struck content display deals with some news outlets globally. Local media groups argue that no similar agreements have been made by OpenAI in India.

For instance, in August 2024, OpenAI signed a deal with the US-based publisher Condé Nast, which allowed the AI giant to use content from The New Yorker, Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair and Bon Appétit etc. Under the revealed deal, OpenAI now has permission to display content from Condé Nast’s media properties in its products, including ChatGPT and SearchGPT.

In its latest filing with Delhi HC, OpenAI has argued that its other partnerships abroad are not just “licensing arrangements for the purpose of training” its AI models. The organization has also expressed, in the filing, that the use of content, which is publicly available, is permissible under Indian copyright law.

The court hearing in the ANI’s lawsuit is scheduled to take place next week.

Earlier, OpenAI told the Delhi HC that Indian courts do not have the jurisdiction to hear ANI’s copyright infringement case as the business does not have a presence in the country.

The latest development comes barely a week after OpenAI chief Sam Altman visited India, where he quipped that “India should be one of the leaders of the AI revolution”.

Panasonic could abandon the U.S. TV market once again

Panasonic could abandon the U.S. TV market once again

I’ve got some grim news for North American fans of Panasonic’s TVs. After returning to these shores in 2024, the enterprise is now mulling the sale of its entire TV division, .

The potential move would be part of a group restructuring at Panasonic Holdings, intended to enable faster decision-making and focus on growth. “We are prepared to sell it if necessary,” stated President Yuki Kusumi stated of the TV division on February 4 during an online press conference, “but we have not yet decided on a plan.”.

Kusumi went on to say that it would be difficult to find a buyer. Despite producing some of the best-performing TVs on the market — Digital Trends’ reviewer Caleb Denison noted that the 2024 Panasonic Z95A OLED TV is “one of the top 5 TVs ever made” — Panasonic has struggled to increase its market share both at home in Japan, where it once commanded 20% of sales, and abroad.

While a sale of the TV division wouldn’t necessarily mean that Panasonic TVs would leave the [website] immediately (or at all), it would at the very least mean that there would be a new management team overseeing the development of future Panasonic TVs. In one particular doomy scenario, we’d end up with TVs that bear the Panasonic brand, but that don’t offer the exciting performance of the enterprise’s current flagship, the Z95B OLED TV, which won one of Digital Trends’ Top Tech of CES 2025 awards.

The other possibility is that Panasonic won’t be able to sell the TV business, in which case it may elect to simply shutter it. That would be sad for the world’s TV enthusiasts. Panasonic has a legendary history of moving TV technology forward, from its original CRT tube TVs to the plasma models that effectively ushered in the age of high-quality flatscreen HDTVs, to its current class-leading 4K OLED TVs.
