Roblox Error 516 appears when a specific server instance is full. This is different from the experience being unavailable — the game itself is running, but this particular server has no room for more players.
Join a different server
From the experience page, click the Servers tab to see available server instances and their current player counts. Select a server with an open slot.
Wait for a slot
If all servers are full, the experience may be extremely popular. You can keep refreshing the server list or click Play and let Roblox attempt to find a server for you.
How to fix step by step
- 1Go to the experience page and click the Servers tab
- 2Find a server with available slots and click Join
- 3Alternatively, click the main Play button — Roblox will attempt to place you in any available server
- 4Wait a few minutes and try again if all servers are full
How 516 differs from related codes
- Error 524: Roblox received an invalid or timed-out HTTP response from its backend. (usually server-side)
- Error 517: Roblox returned an HTTP 517 or server-side error while loading an experience or API request. (server or client)
- Error 529: Roblox returned an HTTP 529 or service-unavailable style response during join or API calls. (server or client)
