Grant microphone access in Windows
Go to Windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone. Ensure 'Allow apps to access your microphone' is toggled on. Scroll down and verify that Valorant or Riot Client is also permitted.
Default microphone device
If Windows does not have a default recording device set, Valorant cannot request a microphone. Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar > Sounds > Recording tab — set your microphone as the default device.
