Bandai Namco quietly sheds 120 jobs in less than a year, new report suggests

Bandai Namco has reportedly shed over a hundred staff between April 2024 and February 2025.
As first , the number of employees has dropped by 117 over that time when comparing the business's own overview - which states it employed 1294 people - with public data taken from the Japan Pension Service, which now says it employs 1177 as at February 4, 2025.
last October, the Tokyo-based organization took a "traditionally Japanese approach to reducing staff by sending workers to rooms where they are given nothing to do, putting pressure on them to leave voluntarily".
At the time, it was alleged 200 of its then 1300 employees have been moved into these "expulsion rooms" – or "oidashi beya" – and almost half of these have since voluntarily resigned.
At the end of November 2024, Bandai Namco Online was dissolved and merged with its parent business.
Bandai Namco called it an "absorption-type merger" that saw subsidiary Bandai Namco Online - which was established back in 2009 to drive Bandai's online portfolio - shut down and its business transferred to Bandai Namco.

Paradox acquires Haemimont Games

Paradox Interactive has acquired Bulgarian developer Haemimont Games for an undisclosed amount.
The studio, known for its strategy games including Surviving Mars, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Paradox following the acquisition.
Paradox described the agreement as "a further step in [its] strategic focus on growing in the management games genre" by "building a strong internal capability that complements [its] current studio organisation."
Haemimont Games' current leadership team and staff will remain at the studio, and ongoing projects will continue development.
The acquisition includes an upfront cash consideration followed by a "performance-based earnout of a similar size" that "is to be paid out over the coming years."
"We're delighted to become part of the Paradox family," expressed Haemimont Games founder Gabriel Dobrev. "This partnership empowers us to push the boundaries of our games, delivering deeper and more intense experiences to our players.
"It opens new horizons for our team, technology, and creative processes, which we're eager to explore."

What is the Fortnite Crew Pack skin for March 2025?
The Fortnite Crew Pack for March 2025 is Bones, with the Crew Pack including the Spine Rider back bling and Skull Blade pickaxe.
You can see the skin in-game, as well as their accessories, Lego style, and Legacy Styles, thanks to this video by VenomFM on YouTube.
As with previous Crew Pack skins, it has a number of Legacy Styles to unlock the longer you keep your Fortnite Crew subscription — with a total of six styles (across five additional months) to unlock.
When does each new Fortnite Crew Pack release?
Each new Fortnite Crew Pack is available on the last day of each month for the coming month at the following times:
4 [website] PST for the west coast of North America.
7 [website] EST for the east coast of North America.
12 [website] GMT for the [website] (the following day).
1 [website] CEST for western Europe/Paris (the following day).
8 [website] JST in Japan/Tokyo (the following day).
For example, Nov. 2023’s pack (featuring the Drakon Steel Hybrid skin) was released on Oct. 31 at the above times in the Americas, and on Nov. 1 elsewhere.
This means if you’re thinking of subscribing for the first time, it’s worth starting just before the above date and time to ensure you get the current Fortnite Crew Pack before it changes over.
Fortnite Crew is a subscription where, for $[website] each month, you’ll receive the following:
Access to the current season’s Battle Passes and their premium rewards (for Fortnite, Fortnite OG, Music Pass, Lego Pass) until the end of the billing period.
The latest Fortnite Crew Pack (with an “at least one” matching cosmetic accessory).
The next Legacy Style for any unlocked Fortnite Crew skins.
Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League until the end of that season.
As with all V-Bucks purchases, your currency could be locked to the platform you chose to start subscribing, so choose carefully. (At the time of writing, Nintendo Switch is the only platform where your wallet won’t be shared across other platforms.).
If you cancel Fortnite Crew, you’ll keep all unlocked Fortnite Crew Pack cosmetics — including Legacy Styles — as well as any awarded V-Bucks and Battle Passes earned during that period.
