We're committed to making Civilization VII the best it can be, and your feedback is hugely helpful as we continue to make [website] can't wait for you to get into the game and start building an empire you believe in - but first, we'd like to share some heartfelt thanks to the entire Civ community from some of the people who made Civilization VII possible: "It is a monumental day for all of us at Firaxis , and we couldn't let it pass without saying a heartfelt thank you. When Sid Meier started this series over 30 years ago, his vision for Civilization wasn't just about building a great game - it was about creating a canvas where players could shape the world and write their own history. That vision remains at the heart of everything we do, and it's what makes Civilization VII a true collaboration with you, our dedicated fans. On behalf of everyone at Firaxis, thank you for your trust, excitement, and love for this series. Here's to the next chapter of Civilization!"—Heather Hazen, President of Firaxis"The entire Civilization team at Firaxis Games wants to send a big thank you out to our amazing community here on launch day. We've been hard at work iterating on this new chapter for many years and are confident that we've hit on an amazing new formula you will truly enjoy. What's even enhanced is that we can now begin our direct engagement with you, our fans, to take this new gameplay to even greater heights. Welcome to Civ VII!"—Ed Beach, Creative Director"The journey that we're about to embark on has been years in the making. From the moment Ed Beach uttered the words 'history is built in layers' in late 2019, I knew that we were about to take ourselves and our fans into uncharted waters, and the journey has been filled with moments both challenging and rewarding. The moment everything starts to fall into place is an exciting one in game development, especially knowing that our fans who inspire us are about to encounter something that will challenge them in ways they are not expecting. It's with great excitement that we present to you our vision, and sincerely hope for many long nights taking just one more turn. As the founder of a scrappy production business, you'll produce the movies you've always dreamed of, manage ambitious franchises, and build a studio that rivals the industry's greatest. Navigate the challenges of the movie business, outmaneuver your competition, and decide whether to chase critical acclaim or box office [website] fun, and see you on the red carpet!Hello everyone! Thomas here (from Goblinz Studio ), we'd like to communicate with you about the launch itself, and more importantly what's to expect from now on!Firstly, we of course want to thank you all about your interest in the game. You've been a lot of people making your own movies and hitting the top of the charts! You've been a lot to leave kind words about the game, and it is really heartwarming, so thank you again. Now, we also know that there's been things that are bothering you, or that you would want to be added to the game, and I wanted to enhancement you on this. Note that this is about short term, and that we'll communicate later on further things that will come for The Executive. So here we go!Some of you have reported broken saves. This is now fixed and should not require you to enhancement the game. Just to be sure, if you opened Steam before 1pm CET, you can reboot Steam. As the fix was a change to Steam configuration for our game, it might be necessary to be a bit more transparent with you, our Cloud save system was limited in size, and this limit was set too low, making the save system weird/not working at all past this limit. We've now increased this limit to a point that I'd be very surprise you reach (that is the maximum authorized by the way, so please don't take that as a [website] know this is a pretty big issue and that save issues are the most frustrating ones, so we want to deeply apologize for this. During our tests, we restart a lot of saves and thus had most of the time pretty light (or at least, light enough) saves for this not to happen during the tests. Once again, we're sorry about this, and this should now be [website] will require the smallest number of words; there's an issue with currency not being correctly displayed on bigger screens. We've found the issue, and this will be fixed in the next patch, that should be coming very soon. We'll keep you posted! We're also aware of other bugs that you've reported on the forums or by mail—thanks again for this! We're working on it. Some of them (as much as possible!) might also be in the first patch, but since we're still investigating, I'd rather not make any promises; you'll be able to check what's been fixed in the patch notes coming with the enhancement. For example the end game screen getting frozen on the first years of the summary is also getting investigated as we speak, we'll do our best to plug the fix with our patch! This is the last thing we wanted to communicate; we've seen all your feedback—I do think it is the main feedback about the game—about the ending being abrupt, and a bit deceptive.! Now as you might guess, adding this kind of feature does take time, as it wasn't really planned. I won't give you any specific date as a lot of things can happen when you're developing things, but I still want to give you a general idea. So while this is subject to change, we'd love to have it out in a couple of weeks. After fixing the nasty bugs that remain, it's going to be our top priority! Also, in case you want to communicate more directly with the dev team, there's a Discord server for the game! From me and the whole dev team, thanks again for all your feedback, and for playing The Executive!
