Madden NFL 25 Hits Game Pass Today, And Now You Can Make Your Super Bowl Predictions

word on the field is Madden NFL 25 is available today 👇 [website] — Xbox Game Pass (@XboxGamePass) February 6, 2025.
EA has traditionally released its Madden NFL Super Bowl predictions ahead of the game, but the publisher has yet to do so this year. Officially, Madden NFL's Super Bowl projections have only been right six out of the last 13 years, which gives it a 46% accuracy rating. Some years are closer than others, but Madden NFL successfully picked the exact score for Super Bowl 49 before the New England Patriots downed the Seattle Seahawks 28-24.
You may have noticed that the cover athlete for Madden NFL 25--Christian McCaffrey--doesn't play for either the Chiefs or the Eagles. Instead, McCaffrey is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers who spent some time on the injured list this year, reviving talk about the infamous Madden curse. The reality is that football is a physically taxing sport, and almost every player deals with injuries at some point. That hasn't stopped Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase from proclaiming that he's aware of the so-called curse, and doesn't want to be a Madden NFL cover star.
Madden NFL 26 will likely arrive this summer, but it has yet to receive an official announcement from EA. Although it's been 13 years since Madden appeared on a Nintendo console, EA is very optimistic about the franchise making a comeback on Switch 2.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date leaked, alongside a trailer showing off the baddies

"Kept you waiting, huh?" says Snake. Uh, no, not really. You're actually a bit early this time, mate. The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was spotted this week, hiding in the long grass of the PlayStation Store. The fancy-schmancy MGS3 remake is coming out in August, . And you can also catch sight of a camouflaged trailer if you go looking under the right rocks.
The release date was listed as August 28th on the game's PlayStation page. It has since been taken down and replaced with the vague "2025" but it still appears at the end of a trailer that leaked alongside the date. You can watch it by inspecting this mossy URL that looks a bit too human-shaped.
The video displays the bosses our boy must boss about before he beats The Boss and becomes his own Big Boss. You remember all these bad guys from the 2004 original, right? The Fear is a man covered in bees. The Sorrow is a ghostly dude who likes swimming. The Fury is a cosmonaut with a flamethrower. The Vibe is an influencer who vapes eels. Okay I made that last one up.
The release date and trailer haven't been officially unveiled by Konami yet. It's possible they were planning to unveil it during the next State Of Play broadcast, PlayStation's bi-annual showing off of upcoming games. This has been teased by industry rumourmonger NateTheHate as happening some time next week, possibly on Valentine's Day. PlayStation held a State of Play broadcast on February 23rd last year, so there is a precedent for it landing around this time.
MGS Delta is one of our 50 most anticipated games of 2025. A lot of that anticipation rides on good memories of the game going full Kojima. You could kill one boss, an elderly but gifted sniper called "The End", just by fast-forwarding the clock in the settings of your PlayStation 2 until the freakishly accurate geezer died of old age. It is twenty years later, I am almost as old as The End myself, and I still think this gimmick is very funny.
Also, did you know that MGS3's love interest and motor-bi-cyclist Eva was voiced by the actor who played Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid? We got a lot more facts where these come from here at The Rock, The Paper, And Not Forgetting The Shotgun Dot Com. Keep us open in one tab at all times.

Warner Bros. is dumping free movies on YouTube — like the original Dungeons & Dragons

Looking for programmatic ad revenue and YouTube monetization feels like an oddly penny-ante way for a major studio to monetize its back catalog. But then, none of these movies are major releases. There are a handful of crowd-pleasers, like Christopher Guest’s improv comedy Waiting for Guffman or the Jackie Chan martial-arts comedy Mr. Nice Guy, which has registered 16 million views over the course of a month. And there are a few bona fide classics, like the 1962 Best Picture nominee Mutiny on the Bounty, starring Marlon Brando. But some of these movies are available on other free services like Tubi or Plex, and none are likely to be major draws on Max or on digital rental services.
So it seems like dropping older and lower-demand movies on YouTube is effectively free money for parent enterprise Warner Bros. Discovery, which has been in a phase of cost-cutting, layoffs, and corporate refocusing since 2022, when contentious exec David Zaslav took over as CEO of the restructured corporation. If YouTube monetization works out for Warner Bros., which seems to be quietly adding more new free movies to the service every few days, we can expect to see the roster grow. The free movies are spread out across various Warner Bros.-owned YouTube Channels, but there’s a master list of them here.
Feel free to start with Dungeons & Dragons, if you haven’t already seen it. It’s a ridiculous botch of the game concept from start to finish, with Justin Whalin and Marlon Wayans as a pair of thieves lured into a scheme to topple an evil, shouty dictator (Jeremy Irons), and the overall sense that no one involved with the movie ever played the TTRPG or even knew it was one. But if you enjoy a bad-movie night and “free” seems like a reasonable price point, Warner Bros. just gave you another way to tune in.
